Richard Kepka Builders was founded in February 2005, building on a lifetime in the construction industry.
Richard is a Licensed Building Practitioner with 49 years of hands-on experience. He began his career working alongside his father, Ian Kepka, at Kepka Construction - where he developed the practical discipline, attention to detail and strong work ethic that still define the company today.
What started as a foundation in family trade has grown into one of Hawke’s Bay’s most respected residential building companies.

Aliah Norhashimi
Quantity Surveyor
Aliah is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, She earned her Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Hons) in 2013 and worked as a Quantity Surveyor in Malaysia for five years. In 2017, she moved to New Zealand with her family and joined Richard Kepka Builders.
Aliah is a highly qualified quantity surveyor and an affiliate member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveying (NZIQS). With an extensive portfolio covering both commercial and residential projects, Aliah's skills and dedication make her a valuable asset to our team.
Josh Lindroos
Operations Manager
Josh, a seasoned construction professional, brings over 14 years of experience in both residential and commercial construction. Growing up in Hawke's Bay, he completed his carpentry apprenticeship in 2014. Over the years, he has gained five years of project management experience in the residential housing industry and has completed two owner-builder projects and one renovation for himself.
In Auckland, Josh excelled as a Project Manager, managing a portfolio of urban developments, luxury commercial apartments, and high-end residential houses. His leadership and strategic planning ensured the successful delivery of complex projects.
Returning to Hawke's Bay, Josh continued to develop his project management skills, overseeing architecturally designed homes across urban, semi-rural, and rural properties. His ability to handle diverse designs and challenging site highlights his versatility and dedication.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys a good game of golf. We are excited to welcome him to the RKB team, confident that his extensive experience will be a valuable asset.
Kerrie O'Connor
Office Administrator
Kerrie joined the company in September 2023 and has quickly become the backbone of our operations. With an extensive background in accounts, she works efficiently from our office in Puketapu.
Kerrie's outgoing and proactive attitude ensures that clients, subcontractors, and employees receive top-notch support in all aspects of the company. Her dedication and expertise are vital to our success.
