Richard Kepka

Owner

Richard formed Richard Kepka Builders Ltd in February 2005, Richard a Licenced Building Practitioner worked as an independent builder for many years, prior to this, he worked alongside his Father, Ian Kepka in Kepka Construction. 

Richard has worked in the Building/Construction sector now for forty Nine years. He has a wealth of knowledge that he passes on to all his staff, and especially supports new apprentices to the trade.

Richard is well known and highly respected throughout Hawkes Bay. He enjoys Fishing, Hunting and Golf with family and friends in his spare time. Richard is also a big supporter of local rugby and often can be seen on the side line supporting his teams.

Susy Friedeman

General Manager

Susy our General Manager has been with RK Builders for

16 years and provides excellent advice and guidance.

Susy will work alongside you to ensure high standards are met throughout your project and overseeing time frames and budgets. Susy also co-ordinates between you, our Foreman and the sub-contractors all the way throughout the build/renovation project.

Susy is also widely known and respected in Hawkes Bay by our Clients and our Sub-Contractors.

Aliah Norhashimi

Quantity Surveyor



Aliah is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  She gained a Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (hons)  in 2013, She worked as a Quantity Surveyor in Malaysia for 5 years before deciding to move to New Zealand in 2017 with her family where she joined Richard Kepka Builders.



Alaih is a qualified quantity surveyor and is an affiliate member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveying (NZIQS). Alaih  has an extensive portfolio covering both Commercial and residential Projects.

Trevor Lilly

Operations Manager

Trevor grew up in Waikari , rural North Canterbury. He completed his apprenticeship in Christchurch 1989 and worked till his move in 2003 to Hawkes Bay were he met Richard through the Certified Builders Association. 

Trevor has worked for RKB for nearly nine years and last year he was promoted to RKB Operations Manager. Trevor has over 35 years experience in both commercial and residential building, and enjoys working at RKB with the variety we have to offer. Trevor is trade qualified and holds his Licence Building Practitioners Certificate.

Kerrie O'Connor

Office Administrator

Kerrie joined the company in September 2023.  With an extensive background in accounts, where she works from our office in Puketapu. Kerrie has an outgoing and proactive attitude, she strives to help clients, subcontractors and employees in all aspects of the company.
